11.08.202607:00:00UTC+00Czech July Inflation Edges Up to 1.7% Year-on-Year, Ending Recent Cooling Trend

The Czech Republic’s consumer price inflation in July stood at 1.7% year-on-year, a slight acceleration from 1.5% previously, according to data updated on 11 August 2026. Both the current and previous readings relate to July 2026, measured against the same month a year earlier.

The data mark a modest uptick in price pressures after the prior year-on-year reading had cooled to 1.5%. The year-on-year comparison means the July figure reflects how prices have changed relative to July a year earlier, while the previous indicator showed how prices in the earlier month compared with the same month a year before. For markets and policymakers, the move from 1.5% to 1.7% suggests inflation remains contained but could be stabilising rather than continuing a downward trajectory.
