21.09.202610:00:00UTC+00Latvia’s Producer Price Inflation Cools to 2.6% in August, Easing from 3.5%

Latvia’s producer price inflation slowed in August 2026, signaling some easing in cost pressures at the factory gate. The Producer Price Index (PPI) rose 2.6% year-over-year in August, down from a 3.5% annual increase recorded in July 2026.

Both the current and previous readings are based on year-over-year comparisons, measuring price changes in each month against the same month a year earlier. The latest figures, updated on 21 September 2026, suggest that while producer prices in Latvia are still rising, the pace of increase is moderating, which could eventually feed through to consumer prices and broader inflation dynamics.
