Colombia's consumer confidence index experienced a notable increase of 6 percentage points in June 2025, reaching 2.2%, a recovery from the -3.8% recorded in May. This uplift was primarily fueled by a 6.7-point advancement in the Economic Conditions Index, which landed at -0.2%, alongside a 5.5-point rise in the Consumer Expectations Index, reaching 3.8%. During June, confidence grew in three out of the five cities monitored and improved across all socioeconomic tiers. Additionally, there was an enhanced inclination towards purchasing vehicles, housing, and durable goods compared to May. Analyzing on a quarterly scale, consumer confidence, readiness to invest in durable goods, and evaluations of household conditions all showed progress in the second quarter of 2025 relative to the first quarter. However, assessments of the nation's general economic climate have deteriorated. When juxtaposed with June 2024, where confidence stood at -12.7%, there is a significant improvement of 14.9 points.
