The S&P Global Poland Manufacturing PMI recorded a figure of 46.6 in August 2025, showing an increase from 45.9 in July, although it fell short of market predictions set at 47. This latest figure, despite not reaching forecasts, marks the highest level seen since May. It indicates a less pronounced drop in new orders, with new export orders declining at their slowest rate in three months. Production, on the other hand, experienced its fourth month of contraction, yet the decline was the gentlest since May. Employment numbers continued to dwindle, with August being the sixth occurrence of job reduction this year. Moreover, the rate of workforce reduction accelerated at the fastest pace since May. From a pricing perspective, cost pressures showed signs of relief, with average input costs falling for the second time in three months. Conversely, output prices saw a slight uptick for the fifth time within seven months. Finally, business confidence remained below the long-term average noted since 2012.
